Payment
Mooi accept payment for orders online through Paypal which is a safe, reliable and quick way to make payments over the internet. Paypal does not charge customers a fee for the transactions made on our website. You do not need a Paypal account to use this method - simply select the option to pay without a Paypal account at checkout.  


Product Quality and Care
All Mooi products are made and finished to a high standard, but as all of the designs are handmade, slight variations can sometimes occur between the items you see on the website, previous orders and those you receive. Colours may also vary slightly due to photography and the settings on your monitor. 

 

All items are quality checked before despatch and leave in perfect condition. Please contact Mooi prior to purchase if you are unsure of any details, size, shape or colour. 

 

Due to the nature of Sterling silver, over time it may tarnish. This can easily be revived using a silver jewellery polishing cloth which may be purchased here from the Mooi website. Polishing regularly with a soft polish cloth will help prevent tarnish taking a grip. Silver dips should be avoided as they will remove any antique finish from the jewellery.

Many of the designs are delicate so please store items in their individual gift boxes to avoid items scratching, tangling or tarnishing. I recommend that you check chains, links and clasps regularly to ensure they remain sound.
Avoid spraying perfume and hair spray when wearing your jewellery and remove when cleaning, bathing, exercising or sleeping, as chemical including moisturisers and sweat may tarnish the silver.

Will My Jewellery be Hallmarked?

A hallmark is a guarantee of the quality of metal, and is struck on silver, palladium, gold, and platinum. It indicates that the article has been independently tested at an Assay Office, and guarantees that it conforms to the legal standards of precious metal content, also known as the fineness. 

Many of the silver pieces handmade by Mooi Jewellery weigh below the legal hallmarking threshold of 7.78 grams, and are therefore exempt from hallmarking, in accordance with the Hallmarking Act 1973. These smaller pieces can be hallmarked on request, at an additional cost. Please contact me for more information on pricing and timescale.

All Mooi Jewellery pieces which exceed the 7.78g weight are hallmarked at the Sheffield Assay Office. The marks they use include: my Mooi Jewellery registered Sponsor's Mark ('MI' in two joined circles - which form the name Mooi), Fineness Mark (925 for sterling silver, 375 for 9ct gold or 750 for 18ct gold), and the Assay Office Mark (a rose).

Delivery Times

I hold stock of some materials to make the majority of the designs, however I generally do not stock any finished designs, unless they are a one-off piece.

The time I need to prepare an order varies. The majority of Mooi Jewellery is handmade to order and can generally take 1-3 weeks to make. However there are some items which I have already handmade, and these are ready to post. These can be found on the Handmade & Ready To Post page. The despatch times quoted are from receiving the order and any approved requirements (e.g. size or personalisation), until the despatch of the finished order.

 

If timescale is an issue, please contact me prior to placing the order. I will always do my best to help.

 

You will receive confirmation by email that your order has been received and another email once your jewellery has been dispatched.

 

Should you urgently need an item for a certain date or special occasion please contact me at mail@mooi.biz prior to placing an order, and I will do our utmost to get the item to you by the required date.

 

Delivery Costs

All orders to the UK are sent by a Royal Mail service, either by: Tracked 24 (£3.65) or Special Delivery (£8.75) which is a guaranteed next day postal service which requires a signature. This can be selected at checkout.

All orders outside the UK are sent by a Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed.

Unfortunately, Mooi Jewellery can’t be responsible for any customs taxes due in the country of destination. Please check local rules before purchasing.

 

Packaging

All packaging is made from eco-friendly materials that can be recycled or are natural and bio-degradable materials.

 

Your jewellery will come beautifully presented and ready to gift in either an eco-friendly Mooi branded jewellery gift boxes (FSC®-certified cardboard), gift pillow box with bow or cotton pouch.

These are wrapped in eco-friendly tissue paper and packed in a cardboard postal box (which of course, is also eco-friendly).

Gift wrapping is available upon request. If you would like your piece gift wrapped, please contact us for more details.

 

Items can be sent to the gift recipient’s address at your request.  A different delivery address can be added at checkout.

Returns Policy
I hope you love your Mooi jewellery. However, if for any reason you are not completely satisfied, please contact me by email at mail@mooi.biz and I will be happy to help.

Checking Your Order

Please examine your jewellery carefully upon receipt. If your item arrives faulty or damaged, contact me within 5 calendar days of delivery and include clear photographs of the item and, where relevant, the packaging.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Earrings are non-exchangeable and non-refundable for hygiene reasons.

  • Made-to-order items, including custom sizes, personalised pieces and commissions, are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged. This complies with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
    In the unlikely event of a fault with a made-to-order item, please contact me upon receipt and I will do my best to resolve the issue.

Items returned without prior contact may not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

Exchanges

Exchanges may be accepted on selected 'handmade and ready-to-post' items within 7 days of delivery. Please contact me first to confirm eligibility.
Returned items must be unworn, in their original condition and packaging. Customers are responsible for all additional postage costs associated with exchanges.

Damaged or Faulty Items

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, please contact Mooi Jewellery within 5 working days of receipt and include a clear image(s) of the issue. I will work with you to resolve the matter as quickly as possible, either by repairing or replacing the item. Items must not have been exposed to perfumes, hairsprays, moisturisers or other chemicals.

In these cases, Mooi Jewellery will arrange the return of the faulty item and cover any additional delivery costs. Once you have contacted me, I will confirm the return address in writing and organise delivery of a replacement item where appropriate.

If you believe a parcel has been damaged in transit, it should be opened in the presence of the courier upon delivery. This allows the condition of the contents to be verified immediately. Unfortunately, if damage or loss is discovered after delivery without this verification, it may not be possible to submit a claim with the courier or insurer.

In such circumstances, Mooi Jewellery cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage that cannot be attributed to, or recovered through, the courier or insurer, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Exclusions

Refunds or replacements cannot be offered for damage caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

Returning Items

Returned goods remain the customer’s responsibility until they reach Mooi Jewellery. I cannot accept liability for items lost or damaged in transit. For your protection, I strongly recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service covering the value of the returned item.

Lost Deliveries:

UK Delivery -
In line with Royal Mail policy, items are not classed as lost until 20 working days after the date of dispatch. Unfortunately, refunds or replacements cannot be issued before this time.

International Delivery -
For international orders, parcels are handled by more than one postal service. Once dispatched from the UK, final delivery is the responsibility of the postal service in the destination country. Delays may occur due to customs processing, which can sometimes take 1–2 weeks.

In the rare event that an order is delayed or goes missing in transit, I will do everything possible to locate or replace your item as quickly as I can. Please note that investigations or replacements may take some time. I kindly ask for your patience and understanding should a delay occur, as this is outside of my control.

Personalisation, Finishes and Sizing
Please make sure that all information, such as spellings, sizing and finishes are correct; as I can not accept returns for any error made on you part. 

 

Disclaimer
If any of the items are intended for children I advise that they be supervised at all times. Jewellery items contain small parts which may become a choking hazard if swallowed. I accept no responsibility for injury caused by the destruction or misuse of these items. 

 

All product designs are exclusive to Mooi and remain the intellectual property of Mooi. Mooi reserves the right to use designs in all advertising.

 

Privacy 
No financial information is stored by this website. The data you disclose to Mooi, such as your name and contact details, will not be disclosed to third parties other than as part of the process to fulfil your order.
