Mooi accept payment for orders online through Paypal which is a safe, reliable and quick way to make payments over the internet. Paypal does not charge customers a fee for the transactions made on our website. You do not need a Paypal account to use this method - simply select the option to pay without a Paypal account at checkout.
Product Quality and Care
All Mooi products are made and finished to a high standard, but as all of our designs are handmade, slight variations can sometimes occur between the items you see on our website, previous orders and those you receive. Colours may also vary slightly due to photography and the settings on your monitor.
All items are quality control checked before despatch and leave in perfect condition. Please contact Mooi prior to purchase if you are unsure of any details, size, shape or colour.
Due to the nature of Sterling silver, over time it may tarnish. This can easily be revived using a silver jewellery polishing cloth which may be purchased from the Mooi website. Polishing regularly with a soft polish cloth will help prevent tarnish taking a grip. Silver dips should be avoided as they will remove any antique finish from the jewellery.
Many of our designs are delicate so please store items in their individual gift boxes to avoid items scratching, tangling or tarnishing. We recommend that you check chains, links and clasps regularly to ensure they remain sound.
Avoid spraying perfume and hair spray when wearing your jewellery and remove when cleaning, bathing, exercising or sleeping, as chemical including moisturisers and sweat may tarnish the silver.
We hope that you love your new purchase, but if for some reason you are not satisfied with your purchase please do not hesitate to contact us by email . Please check your jewellery carefully when you receive it; if it is faulty or damaged upon delivery then please contact us and let us know within 5 days of receipt.
All of the items are handmade to order by Mooi and no stock is held. As all items are made to order, these items are non refundable. This is compliant with the consumer protection (distance selling) act 2000 which clearly states that made to order items are non refundable. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with an item please contact us upon receipt and we will do our best to sort the problem. Items returned with no prior notification may not be refunded.
Items which are faulty will be replaced. Please contact Mooi with details of the fault within 5 days of receipt of the item and return to Mooi in its original condition and in its original packaging. Original condition means that the item is unworn. The item being returned must not have come into contact with any perfumes, hair sprays or other chemicals.
Goods being returned to us are your responsibility until they reach us and we cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged goods that you are sending back. For your own protection, we strongly recommend that you return all items to us using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods that you are returning .
Personalisation, Prints, Finishes and Sizing
Please make sure that all information, such as spellings, sizing and finishes are correct; as we can not accept returns for any error made on you part.
It is also important you are happy with your prints before returning them to us. Some smudges can be removed from the print prior to stamping, but it is not possible to amend the prints in silver in any way. If you are at all unsure then additional kits are available for a nominal charge. By returning your prints to us with your order confirmation form, you are acknowledging that you are happy for us to use them. Please note, we will remove obvious fingerprint smudges, or extra sets of toes etc from hand and footprints before casting in silver, but we will not amend the shape of the overall print in any way unless you specifically request that we do so.
You should note that fingerprint impressions will appear slightly smaller in the silver than in the moulds due to the shrinkage of silver during the firing process - this is unavoidable and will apply to all fingerprint jewellery regardless of who makes it. Handprints, footprints and artwork are shrunk to fit the jewellery item, if you are featuring prints from more than one child then we will keep a sense of proportion between them unless you expressly instruct us otherwise. Fingerprint Map Jewellery uses the expanded fingerprint to create a textured piece.
If any of the items are intended for children we advise that they be supervised at all times. Jewellery items contain small parts which may become a choking hazard if swallowed. We accept no responsibility for injury caused by the destruction or misuse of these items.
All product designs are exclusive to Mooi and remain the intellectual property of Mooi. Mooi reserves the right to use designs in all advertising.
No financial information is stored by this website. The data you disclose to Mooi, such as your name and contact details, will not be disclosed to third parties other than as part of the process to fulfil your order. All prints and moulds are returned to you together with your finished goods.
A negative of hand/footprint and artwork layouts are securely kept for 2 years if you wish to order additional pieces in the future. Please quote your order number when re-ordering. After this time the negatives are safely destroyed.
